THE UST Lady Spikers posted their third straight win in the Shakey’s V-League after trouncing Letran Lady Knights in straight sets, 25-16, 25-23, 25-20, at The Arena in San Juan Thursday afternoon.
Guest player Aiza Maizo led UST with 16 points while Maika Ortiz contributed 13 markers to go with four blocks, as the Lady Spikers advanced to the quarterfinals. They will face either Adamson University or Arellano University.
Patcharee Sangmuang carried the load for the Lady Knights, who exited with 13 points after losing all their games in the elimination round.
“We will be facing tougher opponents in the quarterfinals so we should play with more intensity,” said coach Odjie Mamon.
The quarterfinals will start on April 30 at the same venue. Hedrix Ar-Ar C. Caballe
