Sept. 27 2016, 8:58 a.m. – Fire broke out at the Wendy’s Dapitan kitchen earlier today, Sept. 27.

Sr. Insp. Redentor Alumno, station commander of the Sampaloc Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), said the fire started at the first floor and spread to the rest of the three-storey building through the chimney.

The fire, which reached first alarm, began at around 6:00 a.m. Firemen arrived in Dapitan street between 6:10 a.m. to 6:15 a.m.

The fire was declared out by 6:42 a.m. No injuries were reported.

The BFP said the main cause of the fire was still under investigation, but indicated it could have started from the grill.
