Sept. 27 2016, 10:08 p.m. – THE UST Symphony Orchestra will render classical music in “Universal Space and Time: A Musical Journey,” a concert slated on Oct. 2 at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Under the baton of Jeffrey Solares, associate conductor and executive director of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, the UST Symphony Orchestra will be performing with Fr. Manuel Maramba on the piano.

Choral group Coro Tomasino, conducted by  Department Coordinator for Voice Ronan Ferrer,  will also perform in the concert.

The repertoire includes “Dance of the Hours” by Italian composer Amilcare Ponchielli, “Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor K 466” by Mozart and Gustav Holst’s popular piece “The Planets.”

Composed of 70 student-members, the UST Symphony Orchestra is the official orchestra of UST and is a resident performing ensemble of the CCP.
