Alumni office to hold benefit concert for cancer awareness

THE UST Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) will host a benefit concert titled “Stop the Hate. Start to Love: A Thomasian Alumni Concert for a Cause” to raise cancer and health awareness on May 27 at the UST Open Field.

The concert aims to highlight the University’s role as a premier medical institution and to raise funds that will help in the treatment and rehabilitation of cancer.

Along with the UST Alumni Association Inc., OAR will also launch “C.A.U.S.E.,” a project on “cancer awareness, understanding, support and empathy.” Its objectives include strengthening the “philantrophic engagement” between students and alumni.

Performers include the renowned UST Singers, the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe and popular Filipino artists such as Jed Madela, Sam Milby, Jolina Magdangal and alumnus John Lapus.

Tickets are sold at the Thomasian Alumni Center in Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building for P500 (VIP) and P300 (General Admission).
