THE ACTIVE Vista Human Rights Film Festival will host a special screening of award-winning Cinemalaya Film “Respeto” on Dec. 6, 1 p.m., at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium.

The screening is open to the public.

Directed by Alberto “Treb” Monteras II, former Varsitarian art director, the movie touches on Martial Law and President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.

“Respeto” tells the story of aspiring rapper Hendrix’s (Raymond Abracosa) struggles through poverty, morality and crime.

The film won seven awards in the 2017 Cinemalaya Film Festival, including best cinematography, editing and sound awards.
