A PHARMACY faculty member was elected vice president for the National Capital Region (NCR) cluster of a nationwide association of campus student advisers last Nov. 25.

With 35 years of service as campus student adviser in UST, Assoc. Prof. Rosario Aranda said she owed her success to her devotion to her work.

“I do believe that I have been serving PACSA (Philippine Association of Campus Student Advisers) with all sincerity. And they know my moral and spiritual commitment to the association,” Aranda said in an interview with the Varsitarian.

Aranda, adviser of the Pharmacy Student Council and its publication, the Purple Gazette, hopes to share her expertise and experiences with PACSA members.

Aranda served as director of the Office of Student Affairs from 1987 to 1989. She was also Pharmacy faculty secretary and student welfare coordinator.

PACSA is a nationwide organization aiming to develop campus student advisers and campus student leaders.
