A THOMASIAN filmmaker’s short film was featured in the Pasinaya 2019, the largest multi-arts festival in the country.

Jose Mojica’s experimental short film, titled “E,” was shown at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) last Feb. 3.

“I did the film with a clear intention. I just wanted the audience to ask questions, not only on its content but also its form. I aim for initiating discourse,” said Jose Mojica, a resident fellow of UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies.

“[F]ilipino filmmakers have done their share. We need audience,” he added.

“E” is a five-minute film about a man who wakes up in a room with a mirror.

The film was awarded honorable mention in the 30th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, the longest-running independent film and video competition in Asia.
