IN PREPARATION for UST’s quadri-centennial celebration in 2011, the UST Publishing House launched 40 book titles during the 12th Philippine Bookfair at SM Megamall last Sept. 9.

According to Mecheline Manalastas, UST Publishing House director, the University aims to publish 400 books in the next 10 years for UST’s 400th anniversary.

“With the launching of 40 titles, the University aims to encourage the Thomasian community to write research works, educational books, and literary works as well,” said Manalastas.

Books by Dominican authors launched were Pasyon by Fr. Rodel Aligan O.P., The Language of God by Fr. Jose Antonio Aureada O.P., Mary Seat of Wisdom by Fr. Roland Mactal O.P., Marxism and Religion: A Fusion of Horizons by Fr. Virgilio Abad Ojoy O.P., Domingo de Salazar, O.P., First Bishop of the Philippines by Fr. Lucio Gutierrez O.P., Ethical Guidelines for Medical Practices by Fr. Fausto Gomez O.P., and Ethics of Health Care by Fr. Benedict Ashley O.P., and Fr. Kevin O’ Rourke O.P.
