THE UNIVERSITY topped the 30th Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers National Quiz Show last Feb. 18 at the Far Eastern University – Institute of Technology.
The quiz contest focused on electrical engineering subjects, mathematics and engineering sciences and allied subjects.
The team was composed of Julie Yu, Wesley Navarro, Alyana Arceo, Rudolph John Renolla and Reynan Rodney Dominguez.
Coach John Carlo Perion said team members conducted individual and group studies and simulations and were given advance lectures.
“With all the experience they have garnered during their stint as quizzers and by the grace of God, we firmly believed that they could bring home the title,” Perion said in an interview with the Varsitarian.
UST previously edged out 25 other universities in the regional competition held last Sept. 16.
The annual quiz contest was organized by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers, an organization of electrical practitioners founded in 1975.
