Fr. Pedro Salgado O.P., a former professor of the Ecclesiastical Faculty of Philosophy, passed away last July 9 at UST Hospital following cardiac arrest. He was 80 years old.
Salgado, a social ethicist and political commentator, was conferred the title professor emeritus by the University in 2009.
The Dominican scholar served as rector of Aquinas University in Legazpi from 1985 to 1988.
Salgado’s remains lie at the San Martin de Porres Mortuary of Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City.
The funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on July 13 at Santo Domingo. Interment follows at Santuario de Santo Domingo.
