The University slid to seventh place among 259 Philippine universities in the July 2017 listing of Spain’s Webometrics ranking of world universities based on Internet presence, from fourth place last year.

UST ranked 3,216th place out of 11,999 universities worldwide, 484 notches down from last year’s 2,732nd place.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman is still the top university in the country despite dropping 183 spots worldwide. It ranked 1,451st, a decline from last year’s 1,268th place.

De La Salle University trailed UP, landing on the 1,881st spot worldwide and down by 39 spots from last year’s 1,842nd place.

The entire UP system ranked fourth locally and 3,010th globally, up by 176 spots from 3,186th place last year.

UP Manila and UP Los Baños ranked third and fifth respectively among Philippine universities.

Globally, UP Manila ranked 2,546th, dropping 406 places from last year’s 2,952nd spot. UP Los Baños dropped 1,134 spots to 3022nd from 1,888th worldwide.
