UST plunges in interior design board exams

THE UNIVERSITY recorded a 24.74-percent passing rate in the November 2017 board exams for interior designers, down drastically from last year.

Twenty-four Thomasians passed out of 97 examinees, compared with last year’s 41 out of 59 examinees or a 69.49-percent passing rate.

Paulyne Kate Genson of University of the Philippines-Diliman led the new batch of interior designers, with a score of 86.20 percent.

UST’s results mirrored the national figures.

The national passing rate went down to 23.89 percent, or 113 out of 473 takers, from last year’s 50.84 percent or 213 passers out of 419 takers.

  1. This is saddening and should be a warning signal reminding this department to do something immediately to address this concern.
