THE UNIVERSITY posted a 100-percent overall performance rate in the February 2019 licensure exams for occupational therapists, with all seven Thomasian examinees passing the test.

This was higher than last year’s 91.67 percent, or 11 out of 12 Thomasian examinees.

Nicole Kyla Delfin of the University of the Philippines – Manila led the fresh batch of occupational therapists with an 83.80-percent score.

This year’s national passing rate fell to 57.82 percent, or 122 out of 211 examinees, from last year’s 65.57 percent, or 139 examinees making the cut out of 212.

The University registered a 93.75-percent passing rate in the separate licensure examination for physical therapists.

Fifteen out of 16 Thomasians passed the exam. This was lower than the perfect passing rate last year, when all nine Thomasians made the cut.

Gea Gabrielle Rosales of Silliman University in Dumaguete topped this year’s licensure examinations for physical therapists after posting an 86.60-percent score.

The national passing rate for this year’s physical therapy board exams went up to 59.98 percent, or 772 out of 1,287 examinees, from last year’s 57.82 percent, or 588 out of 1,017 examinees.
