THE UST Female Tracksters bagged three medals to boost their title-retention bid while the Male Tracksters notched a silver and one bronze medal in the continuation of the UAAP athletics tournament at the Philsports arena Saturday.

Rosnani Pamaybay came in second at the 400-meter hurdles after registering 64.02 seconds for the silver medal.

“‘Yung mga strong events ng FEU ‘yung nangyari ngayong day na to, pero we will dominate tomorrow,” UST head coach Manny Calipes said.

Kevin Capangpangan registered 16:06.12 in the 5000-meter run for the Male Tracksters’ silver medal. Joel Hera notched a bronze in the 400-meter hurdles with a 54.52-second output.

“Ngayon, nagkakaroon na kami ng medals sa men’s, pero [based on this year’s performance] talagang mag-re-ready na lang kami for next season,” Calipes said.

The Female Tracksters remained atop everyone with a 10-5-4 gold-silver-bronze haul while the Male Tracksters have garnered two silver and two bronze medals.

The last day of athletics action will take place today, 6 a.m., at the same venue.
