THE UST Tiger Cubs dismantled the La Salle-Greenhills Greenies, 72-57, in the Fr. Martin Cup at the FEU gym in Morayta Sunday.
Down by a point in the opening salvo, UST took the lead behind a 14-4 run in the second quarter and never looked back.
Mike Chatman scored an and-one play with seven minutes left to keep the Greenies within striking distance but the Tiger Cubs fired six straight points to secure the win.
UAAP Mythical Five member Inand Fornillos had a game-high 18 points for UST while Chatman and Angelico Cruz chipped in 14 apiece for the Greenies.
The Tiger Cubs will face the Manila Patriotic School on Monday, May 22, 2:30 p.m., at the San Beda College gym in Mendiola.
