THE UST Lady Booters suffered a 1-3 loss against Green Archers United F.C. in the PFF Womens’ League at the Rizal Stadium Sunday.

The Archers broke a 1-all tie in the first 45 minutes, scoring back-to-back goals in the secound half.

UST has lost its second straight game following a 4-2 beating from the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws yesterday.

“Wala na talaga kaming hangin. Wala pa kasi kaming training after ng UAAP, as in total rest,” UST head coach Prescilla “Aging” Rubio told the Varsitarian.

Anika Castaneda drew first blood for the Archers with a conversion in the 23rd minute.

Shela Mae Cadag was the lone Lady Booter to score as she capitalized on the brief absence of United goalie Natasha Lacson inside the box as she scored an equalizer four minutes before halftime.

Rubio added that the team would resume formal training on June 20 due to the unavailability of some players from the provinces.

“Wala kaming ine-expect. Ang point namin [in joining the tournament] is i-try naming lumaban. Ayaw lang din naming makita na pinaglalaruan lang kami [ng ibang team,]” she said.

The Lady Booters will see action again on June 17 at the same venue.
