UST HAS more than doubled its lead in the UAAP overall title race with a 29-point advantage over defending champion De La Salle University.
UST, which finished the first semester with a 12-point lead, improved after bagging a gold, two silvers and a bronze in the fencing and athletics competitions.
UST now has 210 points while La Salle trails with 181.
The tracksters combined for 27 points as the women’s squad went home with its third straight title. The men’s team placed second.
The men’s and women’s fencing teams, who finished second and third, respectively, contributed 22 points.
