A GRADUATING communication arts student has been chosen as this year’s UAAP courtside reporter for UST.
Tonie Marie Moreno, 20, succeeds Angelique Manto, who reported from the sidelines in the past two seasons.
“Courtside reporting looks more at the heart of the team, and if I do well then it is already an accomplishment,” Moreno told the Varsitarian.
Moreno, a member of the Tomasian Media Circle and Talents (TOMCAT), was picked in a monthlong screening process.
She will join Agatha Uvero (University of the Philippines – Diliman), Miguel Dypiangco (National University), Eileen Shi (De La Salle University), Marite Bautista(Ateneo de Manila University), Migs Gomez (University of the East), and Sydney Crespo (Far Eastern University).
Moreno will make her debut with the Growling Tigers against the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons on September 10, 2 p.m., at the Mall of Asia Arena.
