GOLDEN shuttlers head coach Ricky Bartolome quit last August, just three months after assuming the post on May 15.
“[I will resign] due to some personal things that I need to do for my own self-improvement,” Bartolome told the Varsitarian in a text message.
Former assistant coach and national player RJ Ormilla is set to replace Bartolome but no formal appointment has been made as of writing.
“With the experience he had in the Philippine team, I know [Ormilla] has a lot to share and can motivate well for the development of every athlete inside and outside the court,” Bartolome said.
Bartolome was the UAAP Season 67 Most Valuable Player. He also served as the Shuttlers’ assistant coach for 10 years.
