THE GENERIKA-Ayala Lifesavers trounced the winless Victoria Sports-UST Golden Tigresses, 25-16, 25-19, 25-23, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at the Arena in San Juan Tuesday.

Trailing 21-22 in the third frame, Generika imports Darlene Ramdin and Katarina Pilepic scored four of the next five points to snatch the set.

“Ang problema talaga namin kasi mga bata talaga ‘yung mga players, so wala kaming panapos,” UST head coach Paul Jan Doloiras said.

Two consecutive errors from UST in the second set enabled the Lifesavers to take a 2-0 set lead, 25-19.

Leading 21-15 in the first set, Generika pulled away for good with a quick 4-1 spurt topped by Mikaela Lopez’s drop ball.

The Lifesavers’ net defense yielded six block points, while the Tigresses only had one.

Import Katarina Pilepic finished with 22 markers for the Lifesavers.

Dimdim Pacres had 10 points for UST.

The Tigresses will try to snatch their first win against the Iriga City Oragons on Nov. 23, Thursday, 4:00 p.m., at the Batangas City Sports Center.
