ONE OF the most sought-after high school volleyball stars has committed to suit up for the UST Golden Tigress after she graduates next year.
Eya Laure, UAAP Season 78 juniors’ Most Valuable Player, will follow in the footsteps of her sister EJ, also a Golden Tigress.
“Sa UST pinaramdam nila ‘yung pag-aalaga sakin from the start pa lang and syempre sobrang napamahal na sakin itong school na ‘to,” Laure told the Varsitarian in an online interview.
The 17-year-old star said other schools tried to recruit her during her first year in UST.
Laure, who is in her 11th grade at the UST Senior High School, has already won a UAAP championship and steered the Junior Tigresses into three straight UAAP finals appearances.
Last year, she led UST into a Shakey’s Girls V-League title and took home MVP honors.
