THE UST Tiger Spikers made quick work of the De La Salle Green Spikers, 25-17, 25-13, 25-22, in the 1st Premier Volleyball League at the Arena in San Juan Monday.
UST remained undefeated in two games while La Salle dropped to 1-1.
La Salle tried to stage a comeback but UST’s Joshua Umandal fired a through-the-block hit to complete the sweep, 25-22.
The Tiger Spikers opened the second set with a 15-5 bomb before cruising to a 2-0 set lead.
Joshua Umandal led UST with 14 points.
Up next for UST is reigning UAAP champion Ateneo de Manila Unversity on September 9, 8 a.m., at the same venue.
