ARCHITECTURE Dean Rodolfo Ventura was conferred a fellowship by the Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA) College of Fellows, the oldest existing architectural society in Asia.
Ventura was granted the fellowship during the 93rd National Convention of the PIA at Okada Hotel on March 6.
The Architecture dean earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1990 in UST and his master of science in architecture, major in architectural education, in 1998.
Ventura, the college dean since 2016, has his own architecture firm, C.A. Ventura and Partners.
Asst. Prof. Jonathan Manalad, an architecture faculty member, was reappointed to the Technical Panel for Architecture of the Commission on Higher Education. He is set to serve the panel until February 2029.
Manalad obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1993 at the College of Architecture, where he has served as a faculty member since 2000.
He pursued his master’s degree in Community Architecture and Housing at the University of the Philippines Diliman. In 2021, he completed his doctorate in UST.
Manalad was elected national president of the United Architects of the Philippines in July 2025.
