THE UST Central Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced on Wednesday the calendar of activities in preparation for the Central Student Council (CSC) elections in April.

The online registration and accreditation of central political parties on Feb. 23 will mark the start of all election-related activities.

Central political parties must accomplish online registration and accreditation until Feb. 25.

An online exhibition will be held on Feb. 26 to 28, where registered and accredited political parties will discuss platforms and principles.

The last time a political party was accredited was in 2019, when Lakas ng Diwang Tomasino and Lakas Tomasino Coalition fielded CSC candidates. Since 2020, all CSC bets have run as independents.

Filing of certificates of candidacy of CSC aspirants for Academic Year 2026 to 2027 will run from March 2 to 7, online and onsite.

The preliminary list of candidates will be released on March 7. Candidates are given until March 9 to complete documents.

Onsite and online campaigning will start on March 10. Campaigning will continue on March 22 to 29 and April 5 to 18.

Tagisan, the mandatory debate for CSC bets, will be April 18, also the final campaign day.

The University-wide voting period is set on April 20 to 25.

Proklamasyon, or the canvassing of votes and proclamation of winning candidates, will be on April 25.
