FILIPINO DOMINICANS are inviting Catholics to reflect on the traditional “Siete Palabras” or the Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, April 3, at Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City.
The program is the longest-running Lenten tradition on Philippine television, marking its 31st year with the theme “Panginoong Hesus, Kaligtasan ng Bayan.”
Seven Dominican preachers will share their reflections on the Seven Last Words:
- Fr. Roberto Reyes, O.P., chaplain of the basic education department of Colegio de San de Letran Manaoag;
- Fr. Raymart de Guzman, O.P., priest of the Archdiocese of Manila and member of the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic;
- Letran Calamba rector and president Fr. Roman Santos, O.P.;
- former UST vice rector and former Varsitarian associate editor Fr. Virgilio Ojoy, O.P.;
- Letran Bataan executive vice president Fr. Reynor Munsayac, O.P., also the promoter of the Dominican Family for Justice, Peace and Care for Creation;
- Fr. Allen de Guzman, O.P. of the Santo Domingo Convent; and
- Former Santísimo Rosario parish priest Fr. Eugene Cabillon, O.P.
The program will be aired nationwide on GMA Network and Radyo Veritas 846 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
It will also be livestreamed via the official Facebook and YouTube pages of the Dominican Province of the Philippines and affiliated social communication ministries.
Siete Palabras 2026 is organized by the Dominican Province of the Philippines, the University of Santo Tomas, the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag and the Santo Domingo Convent.
