THE UNIVERSITY has released its target salary payout schedule for July, which includes the release of retroactive wages to faculty members following the ratification of a renegotiated collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
In a Facebook post, the UST Faculty Union (USTFU) said the Office of the Vice Rector for Finance had begun processing retroactive wages.
The target payout schedule is as follows:
- July 14, 2026 — First half of the July 2026 regular payroll
- July 21, 2026 — Release of CBA retroactive wages
- July 27, 2026 — Summer pay
- July 30, 2026 — Second half of the July 2026 regular payroll
The CBA is a five-year contract governing the terms and conditions of employment between the University and the faculty union. Its economic provisions are subject to renegotiation at the midpoint of the agreement.
The renegotiated CBA covers economic benefits for Academic Years (AY) 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
During the June 9-10 vote, 1,252 faculty members, or nearly 94% of the 1,339 who voted, ratified the renegotiated agreement.
Under the deal, P66.9 million from the faculty’s share of tuition increase collections will be distributed among faculty members. The agreement provides for a baseline salary increase of 1.31% for AY 2024-2025 and 1.81% for AY 2025-2026.
According to USTFU, projected retroactive wages for University-level faculty members for the last two years of the CBA range from P51,714 to P98,678.
The economic package also includes increased honorarium per term for National Service Training Program facilitators, a five-day mental health leave, higher eyeglass benefits, medical cash support for dependents, institutional day bonus benefits and a one-time technology support allowance.
The University and USTFU signed the memorandum of agreement on May 22 after negotiations from April 24 to May 15.
Both panels described the renegotiation as “historic” because it was completed within the 2021-2026 CBA period.
