December 5, 7:00 p.m. – THE UST Lady Spikers clobbered a pesky University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons cruising to their second straight win in three sets, 25-21, 25-19, 25-16 at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan today.
Sparked by Maika Ortiz’s kill in the third canto, the España-based spikers rallied with a 5-0 run but Southlyn Ramos tried to stop the bleeding for UP with her down the line hit, 9-5.
A witty placement shot from skipper Aiza Maizo dazed the opponents, 20-14, punctuated by a kill by rookie Leah Angelica Espiritu, 25-16.
