THE UNIVERSITY’S passing rate in the licensure exams for chemical engineers improved to 60 percent.
Twelve out of 20 Thomasians passed the May 2019 exams. This was higher than last year’s 20.69-percent passing rate, or six out 29 examinees.
John Paolo Lazarte of De La Salle University in Manila topped this year’s exams with an 84.10-percent score.
La Salle was also named the top-performing school, with a 91.30-percent passing rate.
The national passing rate rose to 50.81 percent, or a total of 313 out of 616 examinees, from last year’s 46.54 percent, or 296 out of 636 examinees.
