UST Hospital (USTH) has admitted a total of 14 patients who tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), according to data from the Department of Health (DOH) as of April 4.

Three of the confirmed cases died, while one recovered and 10 were still under monitoring.

The confirmed Covid-19 patients confined in UST Hospital were ages 22 to 83 years old.

PH1809, a 22-year-old female patient from Mandaluyong City, was the youngest admitted in UST Hospital. She tested positive last March 28.

Nine of the 10 patients afflicted by the virus were in a stable condition.

PH80, a 52-year-old male patient from Quezon City and the first Covid-19 case in UST Hospital based on DOH data, has been under close monitoring since March 28.

Fatalities

Three patients succumbed to the disease, all without travel history outside the country.

Patients PH389, a 79-year-old woman from Quezon City and PH462, an 83-year-old woman from Naic, Cavite with chronic kidney disease, were pronounced dead on March 17.

PH437, a 57-year-old male patient from Manila, died on March 18.

All three patients died prior to getting their test results.

On March 24, UST Hospital discharged PH82, a 66-year-old male patient from Quezon City who passed the discharge criteria set by DOH.

There are 3,660 cases of Covid-19 in the Philippines, with 163 fatalities and 73 recoveries.

Metro Manila accounts for more than half of coronavirus infections in the country at more than 1,600 cases as of posting.
