THE UNIVERSITY will host on-site celebrations of the Paskuhan season this year, UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P. announced on Friday.

The Paskuhan festivities will kick off with the lighting of Christmas lights and decorations on campus on Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.

A two-day Christmas concert on Dec. 1 and 2 at the Plaza Mayor will follow.

The Agape will also be held on Dec. 2, from 5 p.m. onwards.

The University-wide advent recollection will be held on Dec. 7, while the Paskuhan Mass will be celebrated on Dec. 16.

The Paskuhan celebration will close with the grand concert on Dec. 19.

Coronel said that to limit on-campus participation, only Thomasians (alumni included) would be allowed to enter the University during the Paskuhan concert.

It has yet to be determined whether the University will stage a fireworks display for the concert.

UST refrained from mounting a fireworks display during the Baccalaureate Masses in June, in solidarity with Filipinos affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The last time an in-person Paskuhan concert was mounted without a fireworks display was in 2014.

This year’s Paskuhan will have the theme, “UST Paskuhan 2022: Pananabik, Pagbabalik, Panunumbalik.” N.B. Bautista
