A TOTAL of six Thomasians made the cut in the September 2023 licensure examinations for librarians, in which UST posted a 66.67-percent passing rate.

The six passers came from a pool of nine Thomasian examinees.

The passing rate was higher than the 33.33 percent (1 of 3) tallied by UST in September 2021.

UST did not field examinees in the previous cycle in September 2022.

Zamylle Celso of the University of the East-Manila topped this year’s exam, with an 88.85-percent score.

University of the Philippines-Diliman was named the top-performing school in the librarian board exams after it recorded a perfect passing rate (21 out of 21).

The national passing rate improved to 62.64 percent (555 of 886) from last year’s 39.43 percent (250 of 634).

The licensure exams for librarians were conducted from Sept. 11 to 12. Mabel Anne B. Cardinez
