A THOMASIAN emerged as topnotcher in the June 2024 special professional licensure exams for elementary teachers.

Jovelle Salamanca, the lone Thomasian examinee, led the fresh crop of teachers after scoring 90.80 percent.

No school met the criteria of having 20 or more passers and at least an 80-percent overall passing rate to be named top-performing.

The national passing rate stood at 50 percent in the special exams for elementary teachers after 137 out of 274 examinees made the cut.

No Thomasian took the special exams for secondary-level teachers.

The June 2024 special professional licensure exams for teachers were held on June 18 in testing centers in the Middle East and Singapore.

UST had logged a 95.83 percent (23 of 24) passing rate in the regular May 2024 cycle of the elementary teachers’ licensure exams.
