THE UNIVERSITY emerged as the fifth best school in the July 2024 licensure examinations for master plumbers, in which 63 out of 77 Thomasian examinees passed.

UST logged an 81.82-percent passing rate in the recent cycle, almost the same rating it had in February when the University was named the No. 2 school with an 81.67-percent passing rate.

Jobrylle Simbahon of Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas topped the exams after scoring 89 percent.

The University of the Philippines Los Baños emerged as the top-performing school after 14 out of its 15 examinees passed, good for a 93.33-percent passing rate.

The national passing rate inched up to 47.43 percent (2,936 passers out of 6,190 examinees) from 44.35 percent (1,594 passers out of 3,594 examinees) in the previous cycle.

The July 2024 licensure exams for master plumbers were held on July 13 and 14.
