THE UNIVERSITY produced 19 new psychologists in the August 2024 licensure examinations, in which it posted an 86.36-percent passing rate. 

The number of Thomasians passers came from a pool of 22 examinees. 

While UST’s passing rate was lower than the 93.55-percent rating it recorded in August 2023, it surpassed the 83.63-percent national passing rate in the recent exam cycle. 

Two schools were named top performers: De La Salle University Manila (38 of 38) and Ateneo de Manila University (31 of 31) shared the No. 1 spot after posting perfect passing rates. 

Anfernee Cuenca of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila led the new batch of psychologists with a score of 88.40 percent, the highest nationwide. 

The national passing rate climbed to 83.63 percent (373 of 446) from 72.43 percent (339 of 468) last year.
