THE UNIVERSITY emerged as the third best-performing school in the August 2024 licensure examinations for psychometricians, in which 212 Thomasians, including nine topnotchers, made the cut.
UST posted a 96.80-percent passing rate after 212 out of 219 examinees passed.
Marc Domanais and Mary Ramirez led the new batch of Thomasian psychometricians, sharing the sixth spot nationwide with an 86.20-percent score.
Thomasian Chase Junio scored 86.00 percent to place seventh, followed by Yara Inductivo who scored 85.80 percent to rank eighth.
UST alumni Mikael Abiog, Patricia Chan, Shaeena de Castro, and Luisa Saplala tied in the ninth spot with a score of 85.60 percent. Nicole Labrador ranked tenth with an 85.40-percent score.
While UST’s recent passing rate was lower than the 98.88-percent rating (177 of 179) it had in August 2023, it surpassed the 69.78 percent national passing rate in the August 2024 cycle.
Chiqui Patio of Holy Angel University topped the licensure exams for psychometricians with a score of 88.00 percent, the highest nationwide.
Ateneo de Manila University was named the top-performing school with a 99.07-percent passing rate (107 of 108), followed by Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a 98.25-percent rating.
The national passing rate for the psychometrician licensure exams dipped to 69.78 percent (7,478 of 10,717) this year from 73.27 percent (6,133 of 8,370) last year.
The August 2024 licensure exams for psychometricians were conducted on Aug. 11 and 12. Amador Denzel Teston
