SIXTEEN Thomasians made the cut in the September 2024 licensure examinations for librarians, in which UST logged a 69.57-percent passing rate. 

The figure came from a pool of 23 examinees. 

UST’s recent passing rate was an improvement from the 66.67-percent rating it recorded in September 2023, and was higher than the 48.77-percent national passing rate. 

Anne Chavez of Bestlink College of the Philippines emerged as the topnotcher of the cycle after scoring 90.7 percent. 

West Visayas State University-La Paz saw all of its 14 examinees make the cut and placed first among top-performing schools. 

The national passing rate dropped to 48.77 percent (376 of 771) from last year’s 62.64 percent (555 of 886).
