A THOMASIAN placed fifth in the November 2024 licensure examinations for chemical engineers.

Ronald Libago Jr. led the fresh crop of Thomasian chemical engineers after scoring 89.90% to place fifth nationwide.

Sixty seven Thomasians passed out of 75 examinees, good for an 89.33% passing rate. This was an improvement from the 75.76% logged by UST in the May 2024 cycle, where 25 out of 33 Thomasians passed.

Kenn Logdat of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman topped the cycle with a score of 90.90%.

UP Diliman (56 examinees), De La Salle University Manila (28 examinees), and UP Visayas-Iloilo City (21 examinees) tied for No.1 among top-performing schools after logging a perfect passing rate. UST ranked sixth nationwide.

The national passing rate rose to 72.34% (688 of 951) from 68.97% (640 of 928) in May 2024.

The November 2024 licensure exams for chemical engineers were conducted from Nov. 20 to 22.
