ALL 246 Thomasian examinees, including three topnotchers, passed the November 2024 licensure examinations for nurses, maintaining UST’s perfect passing streak since 2015.
UST alumna Nicole Olvido led the batch of new Thomasian nurses, scoring 91.40% and clinching the No. 6 spot along with six other examinees.
Joining her in the top 10 are Thomasians Danna Dichos, who ranked ninth scoring 90.80%, and Karl Abunda, who placed 10th with a score of 90.60%.
Charimae Cazañares of Cebu Normal University topped the exams with a score of 92.60%.
UST was named the top-performing school along with 10 other schools which also had perfect passing rates: Xavier University (203 of 203), Cebu Doctors University (200 of 200), Velez College (168 of 168), Angeles University Foundation (161 of 161), Bicol University Legazpi (152 of 152), Saint Paul University Dumaguete (136 of 136), University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (112 of 112), Saint Paul University IloIlo (110 of 110), West Visayas State University La Paz (108 of 108), and Central Mindanao University (107 of 107).
The national passing rate rose to 85.01% (29,349 of 34,525) from 69.72% (7,749 of 11,114 examinees) in May 2024.
The November 2024 licensure exams for nurses were conducted on Nov. 9 and 10.
