THREE alumni of the Faculty of Engineering broke into the top 10 of the November and December 2024 licensure examinations for civil engineers, in which UST recorded a 75.17% passing rate (109 of 145).

Leading the batch of new Thomasian civil engineers was Jeriko Ordan, who scored 92.15% to place fifth nationwide.

Joining him in the top 10 were UST alumni JF Nichols Cortez, who placed eighth with a 91.50% score, and Daniel Cenidoza, who ranked ninth with a 91.45% score.

UST’s passing rate improved from the 47.14% (33 of 70) rating it recorded in April 2024.

Francis Lauta of the University of Cebu topped the exams with a score of 93.25%.

The University of the Philippines Diliman was named the top-performing school after 82 out of its 88 examinees passed, good for a 93.18% passing rate.

The national passing rate slid to 37.09% (6,835 of 18,429) from 39.27% (6,680 of 17,010).

The November and December 2024 licensure exams for civil engineers were conducted on Nov. 18, 19, 30, and Dec. 1.
