AN ALUMNUS of the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences topped the December 2024 licensure examinations for occupational therapists, where UST emerged as the second top-performing school.
A total of 57 out of 58 Thomasians, including eight topnotchers, made the cut.
UST alumnus Cesar Joseph Lim led the batch of new occupational therapists with a score of 87.20%.
Joining him in the top 10 were UST alumni Isabella Duran (No. 4; 85%), Queenee Apa-Ap (No. 5; 84.80%), and Monique Esmile and Zharylle Gayeta (No. 7, 84.40%).
Thomasians Marion Lucero and Ross Ramos (No. 8; 84.20%) and Ray Torres (No. 9; 84%) likewise made it to the top 10.
UST’s passing rate improved to 98.28% (57 of 58) from 68% (17 of 25) in June 2024.
The University of the Philippines Manila was named the top-performing school after all of its 19 examinees passed.
Former Varsitarian artist Alias Jireh Montenegro was among the successful examinees.
The national passing rate improved to 65.86% (353 of 536) from 35.96% (123 of 342) in the previous cycle.
The December 2024 licensure examinations for occupational therapists were held on Dec. 14 and 15.
