THE FACULTY of Arts and Letters (Artlets) logged the highest enrollment turnout in Term 2 of Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025, surpassing the Faculty of Engineering, according to preliminary data from the Office of the Registrar.
UST admitted a total of 40,279 students for Term 2, with 33,054 enrollees in undergraduate and graduate programs, 5,390 students in Senior High School, 1,496 students in Junior High School, and 339 students in Education High School.
Historically, enrollment levels in Term 2 have dipped compared with Term 1.
Enrollment in Term 2 declined by 6.61% compared to 42,941 students in Term 1. These figures represent only those who had enrolled until Jan. 20 and may still change until the end of the late enrollment period on Jan. 27.
In AY 2023-2024, Term 2 enrollees slid to 40,657 from 41,554, a 2.21% decrease.
Artlets had a total of 3,755 students enrolled for the second half of the current academic year, 3.59% lower than the 3,895 enrollees it recorded in Term 1.

Despite the drop in enrollment, Artlets still surpassed the Faculty of Engineering, which recorded a steeper drop at 7.27% to 3,684 enrollees in Term 2 from 3,973 in Term 1.
Following Engineering was the College of Commerce and Business Administration, which recorded the third highest enrollment at 2,660 students.

The Faculty of Civil Law saw the biggest drop in enrollees to 323 in Term 2 from 848 in Term 1, a 61.91% drop.
It was followed by the Conservatory of Music with a 38.53% drop in enrollees, to 287 from 467 during the same period.
Enrollment at the Graduate School of Law decreased by 32.14%, falling to 76 this term from 112.
