THE assistant officer in charge of the Faculty of Philosophy has been promoted to acting dean, the Office of the Secretary General (OSG) has announced.
Fr. Christopher Garinganao, O.P. replaced Fr. Felix de los Reyes, O.P., who was named master of students at the Dominican House of Studies at Santo Domingo Convent in Quezon City in January.
Prior to his appointment, Garinganao concurrently served as the library coordinator of the Ecclesiastical Faculties.
The OSG memorandum released Feb. 7 also formalized the appointment of Asst. Prof. Katrina Topacio as the new assistant director of the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education.
Topacio officially assumed her role on Jan.15, succeeding Asst. Prof. Pia Tenedero, who had gone on leave.

UST General Santos’s School of Health Sciences will have Oliver Shane Dumaoal as its new director.
Dumaoal replaced Prof. Edilberto Manahan, who now serves as associate vice rector for academic affairs of the Mindanao campus.
