THE UNIVERSITY produced 76 new mechanical engineers in the February 2025 licensure examinations, where it posted a 51.35% passing rate.

The number of Thomasian passers came from a pool of 148 examinees.

UST’s recent passing rate was an improvement from the 35.21% (25 of 71) rating it recorded in August 2024. 

Nico Tejano of the University of Cebu topped the exams with a 93.50% score.

The University of the Philippines Diliman emerged as the top-performing school in the cycle after recording a 92.31% passing rate (48 of 52).

The national passing rate rose to 48.89% (3,089 of 6,318) from 32.84% (1,144 of 3,484) in the previous cycle.

The February 2025 licensure exams for mechanical engineers were held from Feb. 17 to 19.
