EDITORS from the Philippine Daily Inquirer, one of the country’s leading newsrooms, are set to discuss storytelling in reportage in a forum at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium on March 19 at 2 p.m.

Organized by the UST Department of Journalism, the UST Journalism Society, and Inquirer Campus talk, the event will tackle reporting in campus media, field coverage, and challenges to journalism practice in the digital age.

It will feature Inquirer Executive Editor Volt Contreras and Sports Editor Francis Ochoa, both products of the UST journalism program and campus journalists during their time at the University.

Contreras, a former editor of the Faculty of Arts and Letters’ student publication The Flame, will talk about putting journalism into practice in his lecture, “From Campus to Coverage.”

Meanwhile, Ochoa, a former Varsitarian features editor, will discuss the challenges sports journalists face in reporting, as well as the digital media landscape in his lecture, “Challenge of Sportswriting: Journalism in the Digital Age.”

Inquirer Campus Talks is a series organized by the Philippine Daily Inquirer aimed at stirring conversations on pressing issues and inspiring students.
