A UST Faculty of Engineering alumnus topped the April 2025 licensure examinations for electronics technicians with a 95% score.
Ericko Glodove, a Thomasian, led the new crop of electronics technicians in the country.
He shared the No. 1 spot with Jayvee Fuentebella of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, Allan Pangan and Jan Valenton of Cebu Institute of Technology University, and Daniel Vicho of the University of the Philippines Diliman.
A total of 22 out of 26 Thomasians made the cut, good for an 84.62% passing rate. This was down from the 91.86% rate (79 of 86) UST recorded in October 2024.
The national passing rate rose to 81.75% (1,971 out of 2,411) from 70.77% (1,126 of 1,591) in the previous cycle.
The electronics technician licensure examinations were held on April 4.

Meanwhile, 24 Thomasian examinees passed the separate licensure examinations for electronics engineers.
The number of passers came from a pool of 46 examinees, good for a 52.71% passing rate.
UST’s recent rating marks a significant decline from its previous passing rate of 70.75% (75 of 106) in the previous cycle.
Nathaniel Dimaunahan of the University of the Philippines Diliman snagged the No. 1 spot with a 92.30% score.
The University of the Philippines Diliman was named the top-performing school after recording a passing rate of 94% (47 of 50).
The national passing rate of 45.39% (1,280 of 2,820) almost matched the 45.99% (999 of 2,172) recorded in October 2024.
