THE UNIVERSITY produced 30 new electrical engineers from a pool of 35 examinees who took the April 2025 licensure examinations.
UST logged an 85.71% passing rate in the recent exam cycle, a dip from the 88.46% (23 of 26) it recorded in August 2024.
Kimberly Rose Capiral of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sto. Tomas led the new batch of electrical engineers with a 93% score.
The University of Batangas emerged as the top-performing school with a passing rate of 97.01%, or 65 out of 67 examinees making the cut.
The national passing rate rose to 61.37% (4,137 of 6,741) from 54.12% (1,655 of 3,058) in the previous cycle.
Meanwhile, UST did not field an examinee in the separate licensure examinations for master electricians.
The April 2025 licensure examinations for registered electrical engineers were conducted on April 23 and 24.
