THE UST Golden Booters remained winless in two games after absorbing a 5-1 loss against the Ateneo Blue Booters at the Rizal Memorial football field Sunday.
Ateneo broke a 1-1 deadlock following Ryan Haosen’s goal in the 37th minute before pulling away with goals in the 82nd minute and in extra time.
“Since first half pa lang, hindi na masyadong maganda ‘yung laro. Hindi nasunod ‘yung gusto naming gawin kasi we focused more on long balls and then the Ateneo players are tall,” head coach Marjo Allado said in an interview.
Allado said his team played “worst second half ever.”
The Blue Booters drew first blood with a 10th-minute goal from Javier Gayoso. But the Golden Booters countered with their own conversion two minutes later by AJ Passion.
UST will try to bounce back against the University of the East on Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Moro Lorenzo football field in Katipunan.
