Thomasian pole vaulter EJ Obiena will lead a four-member Philippine delegation to the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships scheduled for March 20-22, 2026, in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland.

Joining Obiena in the squad are John Cabang Tolentino and sprinters Jessica Laurance and Zion Corrales Nelson.

Obiena posted his season-best performance at the ISTAF Indoor on March 7 in Germany, clearing 5.78 meters to secure the gold medal.

Tolentino, who is set to compete in the 60-meter hurdles, holds the Philippine record in the 110-meter hurdles.

Laurance and Nelson, two of the country’s leading sprinters, will compete in the 60-meter dash.

The World Athletics Indoor Championships is a biennial indoor track and field meet that serves as the sport’s global championship for indoor athletics.
