Three UST tracksters delivered podium finishes at the 2026 Malaysia Open Athletics Championships, held June 19-21 at Stadium UPM in Selangor, Malaysia.

Jessa Libres won the gold medal in the women’s pole vault after clearing a personal-best 3.70 meters, while Ma. Khrizzie Ruzol claimed silver with a personal-best clearance of 3.50 meters.

Ruzol is coming off a gold-medal performance in the UAAP Season 88 women’s pole vault, helping the UST Female Tracksters finish as runners-up overall.

Both Libres and Ruzol are members of the national pole vault team under UST coach Emerson Obiena.

Meanwhile, UST high school product Jhobie Rosario earned the silver medal in the women’s 200 meters after clocking 25.01 seconds.

Rosario is also coming off a dominant campaign at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, where she won five gold medals, including a record-breaking performance in the girls’ pole vault after clearing 3.15 meters. Allanee Raye A. Valeriano
