Former UST Growling Tigresses Eka Soriano, Chille Serrano, and Nikki Villasin were selected in the inaugural WMPBL Draft on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Xentro Mall in Montalban, Rizal.
The Biñan Angels took Soriano with the No. 2 pick, while Serrano went No. 4 to the Caloocan Lady Kankaloo.
Villasin was then selected 24th overall by the Akari Sparks Rizal.
Soriano, who debuted for UST in 2019, won the UAAP Season 85 MVP after averaging 14.36 points, 6.29 rebounds, 7.14 assists, and 3.71 steals per game.
A two-time champion with the Tigresses, she averaged 7.17 points, 3.17 rebounds, 4.92 assists and 1.92 steals per game in her final season, helping UST capture the Season 88 title.
Serrano, meanwhile, completed a four-year stint with the Tigresses, winning two championships in Seasons 86 and 88 as a backup big.
Villasin joined UST in 2021 and played a key role in the Tigresses’ title run in Season 86.
She then served as an assistant under head coach Haydee Ong in Season 87 and also played for Discovery Perlas in the 2025 WMPBL Inaugural Season Invitationals.
Meanwhile, former Growling Tigresses standout Tantoy Ferrer was traded from the Akari Sparks to RK Hoops Quezon City on draft day.
Ferrer was named UAAP Season 81 Rookie of the Year and Season 86 Finals MVP after averaging 15.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
